Survey area / Observation period
The survey area is Toba-Irago route of Isewan Ferry Co., Ltd., which connects Toba port, Mie Prefecture, and Irago port, Aichi Prefecture.
Observer picked a good day of sea condition and boarded the company ferry (Tobamaru, Isemaru, Chitamaru) for observation from April 2007 to December 2007.
The observer surveyed 352 round trips for a total of 47 days, with a total distance of 8,143.2 km, and discovered 85 group, 568 heads of Hase dolphin (of which 42 were the parents).
